This chapter focuses on efforts to establish peace by nonviolent means.

Among them are interstate and Type II or Citizen Diplomacy, a proposed US Department of Peace, arms control vs. peace through strength, balance of power, world government and peacekeeping, international peacekeeping, pacifism and nonviolence, and reconciliation.
