Toon Moonen is Assistant Professor and coordinator of ConstitUGent, the research centre on constitutional law at Ghent University. Before, he was a fellow of the Research Foundation Flan­ders (FWO) based at Hasselt University and he clerked in the Constitutional Court of South Africa. Toon is also an attorney at the Brussels bar, appearing regularly in the Constitutional Court. Constitutional adjudication has been his main research interest, although he writes about feder­alism and the functioning of the political branches as well.
