But not every issue needs a CREAC unit of discourse. If an issue does not need the full treatment of a CREAC, you must decide how much space, if any, to devote to the issue. As with most legal questions, an appropriate answer is “it depends.” Some issues that would be controversial in one case will be obvious in another, and the depth of your analysis must change accordingly. Illustration 5.2 shows four labels you can use to describe how much discussion to include for each issue or sub-issue: Ignore, Tell, Clarify (CRAC), or Prove (CREAC):
