Russian Orthodox Support of Ukrainian-Russian Separatism

Putin’s Russia has secured support for Russification of Ukraine from the Orthodox Church. For years, Patriarch Kirill, the Metropolitan of Moscow, has been talking about the Russians of Eastern Ukraine as being martyrs to a savage Ukrainian oppression. He publically sent the Russian army into Ukraine with his official blessing. For those who prioritize the authority of the church, this is strong pre-assault chumming of the headspace of Russians. In a strange inversion, the Communist Party of Russia has now become the godly option for those who wish to resist the godless West.
