This chapter will first discuss historical journals and reference works that deal in whole or in part with Galician-Ukrainian topics.

Then will follow sections devoted to surveys of Galician-Ukrainian political, religious, and cultural histo­ry, as well as studies dealing with regions and individual cities. Only works of a more general nature covering most or all of Galician historical development will be treated here. For works dealing with one or two specific periods, it is necessary to consult the appropriate chapter in this volume.
