Anti-COVID-19 Agents
TREATMENT
Remdesivir (200 mg IV ? 1, then 100 mg IV q24h ? 5-10 days) is a SARS-CoV-2 nucleotide analog RNA polymerase inhibitor that is FDA-approved for treatment of COVID-19 disease necessitating hospitalization. Remdesivir should not be routinely administered to patients with an estimated GFR lt;30 mL/min due to risk of the drug's delivery vehicle accumulating. The main adverse events of importance include the potential for hypersensitivity reactions during and after drug administration and hepatic transaminase elevations.
