Proposals for development of the law

ι. That the position on female judges be reviewed, with a particular need for them in personal status courts.

2. That 'urfi marriage be reconsidered and the courts empowered to hear claims in such marriages, rather than only divorce claims from them.

3. That the law be amended to allow the adoption of views from all schools of law rather than only the Hanafi, so that it is possible to benefit from the opinions of progressive jurists whatever their school.

4. That the reconciliation procedures by the office of the district attorney be reviewed in order to reduce litigation procedures, since this will turn into a matter of routine and will not realize any real interests but rather lead to the unjustified prolongation of litigation.

5. That the text providing forjudges to draw the attention of the female litigant to matters they consider relevant to the questions raised be reviewed, since this may challenge the impartiality of the judge.

6. That a family court be established to specialize in all matters related to the marital relationship, including divorce, maintenance, child custody and access etc., bringing them all in front of one court.
