Adolescence is a period of transition from childhood to adulthood with many physical, physiological and psychological changes.
Surbhi Rathi, Mukesh Agrawal
WHO defines Adolescence from 10-19 years of age, which may be arbitrarily divided into 3 phases—early adolescence (10-13 years), mid adolescence (14-16 years) and late adolescence (17-19 years). While Early adolescence is a period of rapid physical and sexual growth, midadolescence is characterized by relative slowing of growth spurt but intense emotional changes to develop selfidentity. Late adolescence marks the completion of physical growth and psychosocial stabilization.
