Further Reading
There is no comprehensive work covering the field of social studies of science and technology. There are, however, several excellent journals which include not only empirically based articles but also reflective and controversial pieces on the rival approaches. The journals Social Studies of Science; Science, Technology and Human Values; and Science as Culture are particularly recommended. On questions posed by current public concern about environmental consequences of scientific and technical change, see A. Irwin (1995) Citizen Science.
