Rickettsiosis, anaplasmosis and ehrlichiosis are diseases of public health and veterinary importance that are acquired via tick bite.

Numerous species of European wildlife play a key role in the epidemiology of all these infections, primarily as reservoir hosts. However, it remains unclear whether any of these diseases are an important threat to wildlife health.
