Zygomycoses

Zygomycosis is caused by fungi belonging to the class of Zygomycetes comprising the orders Mucorales and Ento- mophthorales. Genera within Mucorales cause an angio- invasive infection called mucormycosis, whereas genera within Entomophthorales produce a chronic subcutaneous infection called entomophthoramycosis.
