8.4.11 SUMMARY OF THE ARGUMENT
Writing the summary of the argument is addressed in Chapter Nine. The formal requirements are few, but some are quite particular. Supreme Court Rule 24.1(h) specifically notes that “mere repetition of the headings under which the argument is arranged is not sufficient.” If you are arguing in a different appellate court, be sure to consult the local rules, as not all courts have this requirement.
