8.5.3 PARTIES TO THE PROCEEDING
Motion briefs generally do not require a separate listing of parties to the proceeding. Generally, the names of all parties are included in the caption. If your case contains numerous plaintiffs or defendants, consult local rules to see if you can list only the first party, or use “et al.” It may be that the rules require all parties to be listed only on the caption of the complaint, and allow counsel to use “et al.” (or some other abbreviated listing method) for other documents in the case.
