The Power of Culture: How Ukraine Survived
If a large enough population maintains enough of its culture, it always has the potential to regroup. At the beginning of the 20th century, there were 25 million Ukranians—a very significant number in a total world population of only 2 billion. Ukrainian culture proved very resistant to eradication or assimilation.
