This part addresses management issues for women who have conditions that have a major effect on their health, such as endometriosis and urinary incontinence.

Some of these conditions may be identified at the time of the well-woman examination but may exceed the expertise of the generalist. Sections include focused information on the diagnosis of these conditions and recommendations for management from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists as well as other relevant medical and governmental organizations. The last section focuses on ambulatory gynecologic surgery and offers guidelines for the performance of invasive procedures in the office and other ambulatory settings.
