Anthrax (also known as Charbon, Milzbrand) is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium Bacillus anthracis.
Anthrax has clinico-pathological features similar to haemorrhagic fevers, with hyperacute or acute clinical signs and usually a fatal outcome.
