FOREWORD

The continued advancement of the role of the veterinary nurse in Wterinary practice necessitates a thorough education and training. This book will support students during their studies.

It is an eminently suitable text for certificate and undergraduate level nurses as well as a useful revision aid for those embarking on their Diploma.

One very important feature of the book is that it clearly relates the anatomy and physiology to clinical cases seen within practice, which will enable veterinary nursing students to see the relevance of the subject that they are being taught as it puts it into a clinical context.

The authors have presented the information using a variety of methods including text, bullet points, tables, and clearly labelled diagrams and radiographs supporting the main part of the text. There is a continuity of style throughout the ba chapter on the evolution of the wolf and the domestication of the dog for the Ultiinutf Doy Care Book and has recently co-authored (with Vicky Aspinalh the chapter on anatomy and physiology in the new edition of Veterinary Nursing.
