11 Applications re more than one holding
8.56 It frequently occurs that the deceased held tenancies of more than one holding. Where multiple applications for succession to different holdings are made by one person, then the order in which they are dealt with by the tribunal can be decided by the applicant himself.
Where, however, the applications are made by two or more persons, the order in which they are dealt with shall be decided by agreement between the applicants and in default of agreement by the tribunal chairman.108 The chairman must have regard to the size of the holdings concerned, and direct that any application in respect of any holding which is larger than any other of those holdings shall be heard and determined by the tribunal before any application in respect of that other.109 The applications must therefore be determined according to the size of the holdings concerned, starting with the largest in area and working down to the smallest.
