From conditional to absolute probability
Even though conditional probabilities are more intuitive, it is necessary to transit from them to unconditional probabilities in order to get the relevant probability model, required to actually determine the values of the probability measures. The axioms that define 12.6.1, together with axiom (8), imply the following proposition.
