Epidemiology
CPP is a common gynaecological complaint with a similar consultation rate to low back pain, asthma, or migraine. It is estimated that up to 15-20% of women aged 18-50 years have experienced CPP for more than 1 year (3). Nevertheless, the incidence of CPP is likely to be underestimated due to under-reporting.
