• Anganwadi-center based screening of children from 6 weeks to 6 years, by dedicated mobile teams.
• School-based screening for school children by dedicated mobile teams.
Implementation: RBSK envisages:
• Screening of all under-6 children in the community at different screening points, e.g. home, anganwadis or schools, by mobile health teams, at least twice a year;
• Establishment of District Early intervention centers (DEIC), funded under NHM, for screening and diagnostic assessment, domain-specific management, referral services to specialists, and Follow-up care. While RBSK primarily target children aged 0-6 years,
DEIC also provides referral services to older children for surgery and rehabilitation.
28.3.4 NAVJAAT SHISHU SURAKSHA KARYAKRAM (NSSK) including supply of a resource manual. NSSK Manual 2020* provides detailed action plan for logistics, methodology and agenda for this training, apart from standard guidelines to prevent, identify, and manage life-saving issues in newborn care, starting from the preparation of delivery room to the transport of high-risk newborns for higher centres.
