Ketamine-Xylazine Corneal Lesions
Corneal lesions have been observed in rats anesthetized with injectable ketamine-xylazine. Changes were attributed to drug-induced vasoconstriction of the ciliary and iridial vessels, and subsequent corneal hypoxia, corneal opacity, mineralization of the anterior limiting membrane of the cornea, and corneal ulceration.
