Conclusion
PAD in HIV-infected patients is not well understood. So far, peripheral atherosclerosis has not been well dissociated from coronary artery disease in these patients. Vas- culitides remain very rare in HIV individuals and their prevalence may be underestimated.
More detailed studies are needed to improve our understanding of this particular pathology in HIV-1 infected patients.Acknowledgements
