Recent years have witnessed many advances in fetal diagnosis and therapeutics to ensure optimal fetal health and prevent neonatal complications. However, the most
important determinants of fetal health are maternal health, quality of antenatal care and timely identification of high-risk pregnancies to anticipate neonatal problems.
