Alveolar Hemorrhage
Regardless of the cause of death, acute extravasation of blood into alveolar spaces is a common agonal finding in mice. It must be differentiated from congestive heart failure and other causes.
Freund's Adjuvant Pulmonary Granulomata
Focal histiocytic granulomata can be found in the lungs of mice that have been immunized with Freund's adjuvant, regardless of the site of immunization (Fig. 1.115).
