Conclusion

The addition of laser energy for the treatment of abnormalities of the canine and feline ear can help to facilitate more rapid recovery, more effective subsequent treatment applications, and more cosmetically pleasing results for the patient and client.

As with any use of laser energy, it is incumbent on the clinician to understand the laser tissue interaction and how it affects the outcome of cases related to the ear and ear canal.
