Pseudomonas aeruginosa Infection
Under conditions of chronic moisture, such as wet dewlaps, P. aeruginosa may be associated with exudative dermatitis. Chronically wet fur may also foster growth of P. aeruginosa, resulting in “green fur syndrome.” In addition, an outbreak of pneumonia and diarrhea has been associated with P. aeruginosa. These are environmental conditions that can be managed with chlorination of the water.
