Waiting for a Revaluation of Policy Effectiveness

All these constraints on discretionary policy action derived from the roots already investigated in previous sections. A re­evaluation of this action had to wait for a long, almost silent revolution concerning numerous aspects of policy action. In Chapter 3, I will recall the steps of this revolution that finally led to rehabilitation of policy effectiveness and the second pillar of economic policy, after having briefly dealt with the reasons that led to reestablishment of the validity of the first pillar.
