Functional Scoliosis

Functional or “secondary” scoliosis is a flexible, non­bony curve secondary to leg length discrepancy, her­niated disk, spondylolisthesis, discitis, muscle spasm, trauma, arthritis, or hip disease. Treatment of the underlying problem typically resolves the curve.
