Gastric Pyloric Hypertrophy
Marked muscular hypertrophy of the pyloric sphincter (Fig. 6.81) resulting in interference with gastric emptying may be associated with weight loss. This syndrome has been noted in New Zealand White rabbits. It may be variably associated with trichobezoars, but the relationship of the 2 syndromes is not absolute.
