Gastric Pyloric Hypertrophy

Marked muscular hypertrophy of the pyloric sphincter (Fig. 6.81) resulting in interference with gastric empty­ing may be associated with weight loss. This syndrome has been noted in New Zealand White rabbits. It may be variably associated with trichobezoars, but the relation­ship of the 2 syndromes is not absolute.
