Psorobia lagomorpha Infestation

There is a single report describing a new species of Psorobia (formerly Psorergates) in a 6-month-old Dutch rabbit. The affected rabbit had hyperkeratosis, scaling, and alopecia. Diagnosis was achieved by skin scrapings. The validity of this being a new species remains to be determined. Related Psorobia spp. are the “itch mites” of sheep and cattle.
